On the occasion of its first Board of directors of year 2010, the "Child Pole" has been attended by Sir Prefect of Maine-et-Loire, Richard Samuel, and Sir Sub-prefect of Maine-et-Loire, Jean-Marc Bédier. Both were very attentive to the progress of the programs of research and development of the Pole of competitiveness and to the run-up created by the merger of the research and the industry within the Child Pole. This council was also an opportunity for the Child Pole to elect his new President: David Soulard. Chief Executive Officer of the vendean company Gautier France (European leader of the furniture for child) and very involved in the programs of research for the Pole, David Soulard succeeds Joseph Grimaud. The Vice-president of the Chamber of commerce and industry of Maine-et-Loire had decided in 2009 to prolong of one year its presidency to prepare at best its succession. Joseph Grimaud remains however active within the Pole of competitivenes.
